Join us at our Brooklyn Apothecary on July 31st at 7pm to learn to craft ceremonial cacao at this interactive workshop hosted by Oliver from Primo Chocolates. Discover the essentials of roasting, peeling, and grinding cacao beans at home using budget-friendly tools. Learn about the history of Cacao production and how to ethically source your own confectionary. Anima Mundi will offer various botanical powders to customize your cacao for daily functional benefits and unique taste. Share a cup of beneficial and heart activating Cacao (of your own creation) in community and feel the warm glow of summer radiate from within.

Oliver has a degree in Anthropology with an interest in anthro-gastronomy, and mindful design. Growing up upstate in the Catskills, Oliver saw a history of illness in his family and throughout the US. Oliver became disenfranchised with the conventional junk-food diet and casual use of pharmaceuticals and became passionate about using food as medicine. He learned to harvest wild mushrooms and tincture medicinal herbs to share with his family and trade with friends. In his late 20s, this background inspired him to start this chocolate company as a way to build a network of ethical sourcing and create a beautiful, delicious product with a good message. Oliver created Primo Chocolate to be a vessel for the splendor of medicine we can find in forests and as a sweet and accessible alternative to harmful chemical medicine.
